Di Malabs Jambul di Malaysia burung ini sangat biasa dari bandar besar hingga ke pelosok bandar. Kicauan burung ini cukup merdu, sehingga sering diadakan pertandingan untuk mendapatkan keindahan suara burung ini.
Burung ini jarang ditemui di Indonesia. Burung ini masih kurang popular di kalangan pencinta burung Indonesia berbanding tweet Murai Batu, Kasser dan burung lain.
